I removed the
old incandescent sockets by drilling out the rivets holding
them to the plastic base. I then riveted the ballast base
and the socket to the light's base. Then the ballast board was
screwed back down to it's base. I hooked the red wire from the
3-way switch to the +12V lead of the ballast. This will
cause the light to turn on or off with each turn. The green
ground wire went to the -12V lead of the ballast. The blue
wire, which used to be connected to the top & bottom lights,
is unused. Finally, I taped down all the wires with clear
packing tape. |
