The vent was removed by drilling out all the rivets
with an 1/8 inch drill bit. I then used a hammer to force a small putty knife
between the vent flange and the roof, cutting through any rivets that weren't
completely removed by the drilling. I was surprised at how raggedy the
hole was. I was expecting a more "professional" look.
